Shaw, Beaulieu Raising Carpet Prices Feb. 1
Dalton, GA, Jan. 7, 2011 — Carpet makers Shaw and Beaulieu have announced price increases across the board on all fiber types, beginning Feb. 1.
Price increases will range from 5% to 8%. Both companies cited the rising cost of raw materials as the reason for the increases.
J&J/Invision Raising Prices at End of January
Dalton, GA, Jan. 14, 2011 — J&J/Invision said it will increase prices 6-8% on broadloom and modular products on orders placed on or after Jan. 31.

BASF Raising Polyamide Prices in January
Florham Park, NJ, Dec. 15, 2010 — BASF said it will increase the price for Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6,66 by $0.10 per pound effective Jan. 3.
The increase covers nylon polymer for spinning, monofilament, film, wire and cable applications, and neat resin for compounding.
BASF said that current market conditions and increasing raw material costs make the increase necessary.
BASF Announces Another Price Increase
Florham Park, NJ, Feb. 21, 2011 — BASF said it will increase the price for Polyamide 6 polymer by $0.12 per pound, effective March 1.
The company cited the increasing cost of raw materials. This is the third increase so far this year.
Styron To Increase Latex Prices
Midland, MI, Jan. 31, 2011 — Styron said it is increasing the prices of all products sold into the carpet and performance latex markets in the U.S. and Canada beginning Feb. 28.
The increase will be $0.06 per dry pound for all Styrene Butadiene latex and $0.05 per dry pound on all acrylic latex products.
Styron cited the rising cost of raw materials used in the products as the reason for the increase.
Omnova Solutions Raising Prices Feb. 28
Fairlawn, OH, Feb. 2, 2011 — Omnova Solutions said it will increase prices by $0.06 per dry pound on styrene butadiene latex for carpet and related markets, effective Feb. 28.
The company said that rising raw materials costs made the increase necessary.

Fairlawn, OH, March 8, 2011 — Omnova Solutions said it will increase prices by $0.07 per dry pound on styrene butadiene latex for carpet and related markets, effective April 4.
The company said the increase is due to the rising cost of raw materials.
Propex Raising Carpet Backing Prices in May
Chattanooga, TN, -Propex Operating Company has announced a 6% price increase for all carpet backing products.
Propex said the increase is primarily driven by the continued, upward trend in key raw materials, notably polypropylene resin.
